Arcola News

2022-2023

Greetings to all of our Arcola Farm friends!  We hope you all are doing well and finally getting out and visiting friends and family!  We are thankful to have had a fairly normal year in 2022 full of work, family, horse shows and a little bit of travel. Arcola Farm has had one  2022 foal this year.  It was a healthy colt that we named Arcola's Mr. Goodwrench (Greycliff Tony x T-Town into the Night).  He is big boy with a nice white blaze and a friendly demeanor.  We are proud to share that we also added one new and beautiful weanling filly to our farm this year.  Her name is DWS Mon Cheri (Futurity French Command X Candelabra).  We are excited to get the chance to own such a nice filly and look forward to watching her and our new colt grow up together on the farm. Arcola Farm has not planned on any new foals in 2023, but stay tuned as we hope to breed a few of our mares Spring of 2023.

One big change for Arcola Farm came at the end of 2021 when we decided to move our horses to a new farm, Burntside Farm.  We are very proud to say that our daughter Hanna Johnson owns this new equine operation and is doing a great job as the trainer for all of our Morgan stock as well as other clients horses in training. Burntside Farm is an public farm that not only trains Morgans and Saddlebred horses, but has a wonderful lesson program as well.  We highly recommend Burntside Farm to our horse loving friends of all ages!  Call Hanna at Burntside Farm if you are in need of any horse training or lessons at 651-271-9269.
